Gosh the time is flying by. It's time for another installment in "Letters to Our Sons," where I get together with my friends and fellow photographers and we write to our sons.
As you are getting older...(gosh you are going to be 10 this year), your dad and I decided that you needed a study space of your own. Grandma got you a microscope for Christmas and it needed a desk...so that you could "work" quietly without being interrupted by your sisters. Well, that space has become your little haven. You sit there and read, play games or put together puzzles. Sometimes it's nice to have a quiet little nook all to yourself. I'm happy to see that you enjoy it so much...
And thank you for humoring me when I asked you to just keep doing what you are doing and pretend like I'm not invading your space. I can't help but want to capture who you are today, because you are growing up so fast...changing so much. In the blink of an eye you have become so mature and responsible. Here I am, invading your space and your quiet time. But sometimes mom just needs a peek. I always want you to know that I am here too...always ready to lend an ear or a hand or a hug.
And I noticed that you have Brown Bear by your side. He is always with you, watching over you and protecting you. Never forget that...
I love you buddy...to the moon and back!
